This project is a culmination of influences from the respective histories of art, literature, and theater. The painting styles of the Baroque and Rococo periods are prominent influences, as well as Shakespeare's Othello, and Venetian author Giacomo Casanova.

This body of work is a physical manifestation of the nightmares that I once had. They are strange, and disturbed, and neurotic, and beautiful.
I was influenced by images from photographers David Sims and Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin, and by older horror films like Young Frankenstein with Gene Wilder. I also looked to the Austrian figurative painter Egon Schiele, and his twisted, Expressionist figure paintings and drawings.Fine Arts, Digital Photography2011 -
This project is a culmination of influences from the respective histories of art, literature, and music. The painting styles and philosophies of the Romantic period inspired me. Edgar Alan Poe, Beethoven, and Chopin are also among prominent influences.
